We start at the Bauhaus building

Stay at the Studio building of the Bauhaus (address: Gropiusallee 38)

9 a.m.–10 a.m.
Breakfast at the café-bistro

10 a.m.–11 a.m.
Special and permanent exhibition

The Visitors Centre and the designshop will open at 10 a.m. on 1st floor.

Here you are able to buy the tickets for your visit (including exhibitions). Sign up here for guided tours, too. This time between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. can perfectly filled with a visit of our exhibitions.

11 a.m.–12 p.m.
Explore the Bauhaus building with the director`s room, the stage and the former room of Marianne Brandt (Studio building) in a guided tour. Or take an individual tour through the building with an audio guide (historical reconstructed rooms are accessible with a guided tour only).

12–12.30 p.m.
Lunch at the Bauhaus Canteen or café-bistro.


… change location to the Masters’ Houses

12.30–2 p.m.
Take a guided tour of the Masters’ Houses, (address: Ebertallee 59-71)
Meeting point: Visitors Centre at the Bauhaus building


… Explore the town of Dessau, walking through Gropiusallee

2–3 p.m.
Stroll through Gropiusallee, through the train station into the city centre of Dessau or straight to the Federal Environment Agency with architecture by Sauerbruch Hutton.


… and travel to the Dessau-Törten housing estate by tram

3 p.m.
At Dessau train station or at city park take the tram to Törten (Line 1 until ‘Damschkestraße/Südschwimmbad’)

3.30 p.m.
The best way to explore the Dessau-Törten housing estate is a guided tour. Meeting point: Konsum building, (address: Am Dreieck 1)


… to relax at the Elbe river in the evening.

In the evening
Enjoy the river and the Bauhaus environment at Kornhaus (address: Kornhausstraße 146).
