Bookings for guided group tours

We are happy to accept your booking for an exclusive guided group tour. With bookings made in advance, guided tours in English are also available. Other languages are also possible on request: here.

Independent tour

You can of course also visit the Bauhaus buildings independently, that is, without a guided tour, after you have bought an admission ticket. Please note that the historic rooms (stage, the Gropius room, Marianne Brandt’s atelier) can only be viewed on a guided tour.

Information for independent visitors about the history of the Bauhaus and life in the school is supplied by the Content Line, which starts in the Visitors’ Centre with panels presenting an overview of the Bauhaus Dessau and continues northwards through the Bauhaus building, marked by black pillars in which iPads are installed.

Audio guides

For an independent guided tour we also recommend our audio guides, which you can hire for a small fee in the Visitors’ Centre. These are available in seven languages.

Stay overnight in the Bauhaus

We offer single and double Bauhaus-style rooms in the studio building of the Bauhaus. Here, you can stay overnight for an affordable price, which means that you can take your time and visit Dessau’s World Cultural Heritage sites over one or two days. Further information and bookings for overnight accommodation in the Bauhaus here.
