Presentation of selected objects from the collection on the history of the Bauhaus Dessau

The desire to shape a new form of “emancipated living”, the right to “light, air and sun” in the age of rationalization and standardization, was central to the Bauhaus. Questions of design and the relationship of object to space gave rise to new, sometimes avant-garde concepts. Discover some of them in the permanent exhibition in the famous Bauhaus building itself!

Please note that due to reconstruction works, the permanent exhibition "Workshop of Modernism" in the basement of Bauhaus building will be closed until summer 2014.
