Andrej Bernik

Andrej Bernik is founder of Fieldwork architecture, a team of architects and urban designers based in Paris. Through their projects Fieldwork investigates the relation between humans and the environment in the search of a durable equilibrium. The first step in this direction is to abandon the dichotomy of what is considered natural or artificial. Fieldwork goes beyond this opposition in order to conceive places open to evolution in time and ready for the challenges of the 21st century.
Their current work focuses on public spaces for the changing climate, the architectural potential of passive indoor cooling and material research into the interactions of buildings and their surroundings.
