Bauhaus Taste – Bauhaus Kitchens
"Designed technology for a better life" was a central Bauhaus concept. In Japan, the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation, based on 100 objects from its collection, shows how the kitchen became a rationalised workplace. The exhibition Bauhaus Taste – Bauhaus Kitchens devoted itself to a fascinating cosmos of modern domestic economy with tableware, lighting, textiles, wallpapers and furniture. The highlight of the exhibition was a walk-in reconstruction of a Master's House kitchen in its original size.
An exhibition of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation in cooperation with the Paul Klee Society Japan, Technikmuseum Hugo Junkers, Dessau-Roßlau, and Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle/Saale. Presented by the Japanese newspaper Asaki Shimbun.
