A good year after the opening of the Bauhaus Museum Dessau, Frank Assmann (Head of Building Department of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation) offers in his lecture on the architecture a look behind the scenes. Like a precious exhibition object, the building is illuminated in all its facets: From the initial ideas to the location discussions and the architecture competition, the laying of the foundation stone, the construction in record time to the ceremonial opening in September 2019 and beyond, you will be introduced to the young but eventful history, the functions and special features of the new building nominated for the Prize of the Deutsches Architektur Museum.
