Dr. Sylvia Ziegner
Archivist
Sylvia Ziegner (Dr. phil.) has been working at the Depot/Archive of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation since October 2011. Prior to that, she worked as an art historian at the Bildarchiv Foto Marburg, the Deutsche Fotothek Dresden, the Kunstfonds des Freistaates Sachsen and startext Unternehmensberatung Bonn, among others, with a focus on processing art collections, collaborating on projects and further developing and customising database systems for museums and archives.
According to her dissertation in art history on “The illustrated book ‘Dresden – eine Kamera klagt an’ by Richard Peter senior. Part of Dresden's culture of remembrance”, her interests lie in the photographic history and art of the GDR.
