For the Bauhäuslers, experimenting with techniques and material was a basic prerequisite for creativity. We want to pick up on this idea: we try out various analogue and digital media, work in a team, and individually tinker with, construct, design and programme major and minor creative projects, the whole gamut.
Participants will be supported by artists, designers and art teachers.

In the Open Workshop, book artist Marianne Nagel will show the Coptic Binding to the participants. This flexible method of book binding does not require glue and was invented by Coptic monks 2000 years ago. Recycled leather or other exciting fabrics can be used to create a cover.

This Open Workshop deals with the basics of analog photography. In the photo lab of the Bauhaus Building, the basics of analog film development and negative enlargement will be taught in a three-hour workshop. We will show you how to develop analog black and white films, how to enlarge photo negatives and what you need to do it. Participants are welcome to bring undeveloped film and negative strips to the workshop.
