Following on Kurt Schmidt’s reflection on the human being and the machine, Colors and the Kids (CATK) explores the influence of artificial intelligence (AI) on image and sound. Image- and sound-producing AI models use their extensive database to provide ever-new combinations. Images whose production process is difficult to repeat or predict capture one movement of the short-lived. The resulting play between human being and AI constantly reconfigures such aspects as coordination, decision making, selection, randomness, and power.
