The master’s course “Coop Design Research” in cooperation with the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and the Humboldt University of Berlin, the Bauhaus Lab, the Bauhaus Open Studios: every year over one hundred people from all over the world are directly involved in the various programmes of the Academy of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation. Similar to the concept of the reading room in museums and archives, the Study Rooms offer an opportunity for intensive engagement with aspects of the annual theme of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation Infrastructure and for looking at it from the perspective of the three Academy programmes. In addition, the Study Rooms offer spaces for exchanging ideas and making contact with initiatives, practitioners, researchers and activists in the field of design education. These encounters transform the the public digital conference into a transitory place of learning, allowing participants to experience and explore the conditions of collective knowledge production. A variety of positions from the Open Studios, the Bauhaus Lab and its alumni as well as from the master’s programme “Coop Design Research” will be brought together alongside keynotes, performance exercises, tours and experimental workshops.

The event will be conducted as a Zoom webinar. To register, click here.
