The Dessau Triennial weekend 2022 will be devoted entirely to the topic “water culture”. Exemplary for this are Dessau locations and buildings of modernism from the Bauhaus Building to the Pump Station in the Dessau-Törten Housing Estate and other historical Dessau locations. The different venues of the Triennial of Modernism are linked by music.

T. Lux Feininger, primarily known as Bauhaus photographer, uniquely combined his experiences with the Bauhaus stage and his ambitions as a visual artist in his early work. For the first time, his illustrations of the satire The Man Who Was Thursday can be exhibited together with preparatory sketches.

What kind of hospital architecture is needed to have a positive effect on the healing process of patients? The Bauhäusler Franz Ehrlich already investigated this question in the 1950s. The result – the Central Institute for Cardiovascular Research of the GDR Academy of Sciences – is presented in the Intermezzo with photographs, drawings and plans.
