On 30 March 2012, the new libraries at the Bauhaus were officially opened by then Deputy Minister President of the State of Saxony-Anhalt, Jens Bullerjahn. The libraries of the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation are hosting a ceremony to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their shared location in a former department store in the Gropiusallee.
