Building Research Archive

Resource for Modern Heritage Conservation
In the Building Research Archive objects, documents and findings from building research and the restoration of the Bauhaus buildings and other modern buildings are collected and made available for research purposes. The main focus of the archive is on original building components such as windows, doors and electrical switches, but also fragments of render or concrete and colour samples. Historic and contemporary photographs and plans, eye-witness testimonies and literature pertaining to historic structural designs, building technologies and building materials round off the archive’s inventory.
