Children from Dessau do research for their own museum! Collecting, preserving and researching – these are the prerequisites for exhibiting something. For this reason, 24 children from grade 1 to 4 of the primary school Hugo Junkers Kühnau visited several museums together with the artists Ursula Achterkamp, Ottonie von Roeder and three teachers to get ideas for the development of their own exhibition. The theme of the exhibition revolves around the reality of children's lives: How do we want to live in the future? Which living environment do we want? In three groups, the children deal with textiles, digital designs and architecture and create objects for their children's museum.

The Children's Museum TatSachen! is designed to show what children expect from a museum. The child-friendly exhibition can therefore serve as an inspiration for the future Bauhaus Museum in Dessau.
