Carl Fieger was a brilliant draughtsman, whose architectural designs invariably carried conviction. At the Bauhaus Dessau, he taught technical drawing to architects and designers. In 1920 Fieger submitted three different types of design drawings to a competition for a war memorial in Weimar. Every single one won a prize, proving just how versatile Fieger was as a graphic artist.
On European Heritage Day visitors will have a number of opportunities to learn more about Carl Fieger using a range of drawing techniques to develop their own designs with the assistance of an illustrator. No previous experience required.
