The workshops of the historic Bauhaus were used for hammering, planing, sawing and weaving. 100 years later, we want to conquer the workshop rooms in the Bauhaus Building – and expand them with a modular system of furniture that we design and build ourselves.
Together with designers and architects you will discuss the designs, test and develop your craft skills, and learn about tools and materials. What tools do you need for what? How are they used? What role do the different materials play? And what happens to the leftovers? – You can use them to design and build your own piece of furniture.
In the future, the modular furniture system will serve as a means of communication in the workshop rooms and will be used by visitors.
