The Architect’s Workplace Friedrich Karl Engemann

The focus is on the bookcase and work cupboard from Friedrich Karl Engemann's living room and study. The Bauhäusler's design approach is evident in the four houses he designed in 1929/30 in the Fischereiweg. Engemann designed the entire furnishings for his own house. The special feature was the multifunctional book and work cupboard: a hybrid of a living room cupboard, drawing table, writing table and graphics cupboard.

The Intermezzi in the Black Box of the Bauhaus Museum Dessau are changing exhibitions in the exhibition. They expand the presentation of [ID 5403]Versuchsstätte Bauhaus. The Collection[/Id] and continue it. On Collecting presents new groups of objects from the Dessau collection or objects that have not been given a permanent place in the museum.
