Bauhaus Master
Coop Design Research

Researching and studying at the Bauhaus Dessau
The master programme COOP DESIGN RESEARCH transfers the Bauhaus approach of research-based design to the twenty-first century. The project is conducted by Bauhaus Foundation Dessau and Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and enables young designers from all over the world to research topics that arise from an intentional crossover of design, art and science.
The learning formats are deliberately broad in scope and range from classical lectures and text seminars to excursions, visits to archives and workshops. Design as Research, Design as Education, Design as Projection – theses three modules supply the structure for the study year, which ends with a master thesis. The thesis can form the foundation for a doctoral study.
