Presentation Bauhaus Residency:
Minha Lee

Presentation with artist
Thursday, 30 August 2018
5 pm – 6.30 pm

As part of her Bauhaus Residency, Minha Lee lived and worked in the Masters’ Houses for three months. Minha Lee combines modern media, e.g. installation, with traditional materials, e.g. paper. During her stay in the Masters’ Houses she focused on the standardisation of living space. The resulting installation featuring a ‘box for living in’ made from layered paper was inspired by her research into the cramped micro-apartments of South Korea and efficiency as an aspect of Bauhaus architecture. It will be shown in the Gropius House.

At the end of their Bauhaus Residence, the artist presents a selection of their works. After the presentation there will be an Apéro at the House Schlemmer.
