Bauhaus Centenary Residency 2019
The Bauhaus is celebrating its centenary in 2019. To mark this occasion the Bauhaus Residency programme, which saw international artists return to the Masters’ Houses in 2016, will become the Centenary Residency, connected to the diverse programme of events in Dessau. The multi-day residency for artists and artists’ collectives adopts a creative and investigative approach to the Bauhaus.
The invited artists will explore the educational, architectonic and performative ideas of the Bauhaus from a contemporary perspective in the framework of the festivals School Fundamental, Architecture Radical and Stage Total. In this way, international artists, musicians or designers will open up and conquer new realms of experimentation in the scope of the centenary programme.
