In February 2021, the Bauhaus Open Studio Moscow took place in the framework of a three-day online workshop dedicated to the pedagogical approaches of the Bauhaus and the Higher Art and Technical Studios Vkhutemas. On the 100th anniversary of the creation of Vkhutemas, the project made an important contribution to the preservation of the cultural legacy of the avantgarde in Russia. The aim of the Bauhaus Open Studios – Teaching Models programme to present historic models from the preliminary course at the Bauhaus Dessau in a contemporary form served as an example for the development of corresponding approaches and materials for the pedagogical methods of the Russian school Vkhutemas.
