The Open Studio Tirana focused on reconceptualizing housing space in the 21st century in relationship to changes and new demands due to mass migration, demographic changes and other factors such as the digitalisation of work (including the recent Covid-19 induced changes). These phenomena have an impact on housing plan layouts which demand changes from the modernist paradigm of mass housing. Students developed and investigate scenarios for change in respect of new housing ideas in the 21st century. The Open Studio took place online and in the classroom.
