Dr Laura Gieser

Research Associate

Laura Gieser has been a research associate in the directorate of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation since January 2021. Together with Andreas Schätztke, she is developing the digital text index for the pilot project “Bauhaus Written Heritage” (2020–2022), which includes the printed and unprinted texts that were created at the Bauhaus or written by Bauhaus members from 1919 to 1933. The pilot project is funded by the Ministry of Economics, Science and Digitalisation of Saxony-Anhalt.

Laura Gieser studied Comparative Literature, Art History and Romance Studies at the University of Augsburg and Brandeis University (USA). After completing her doctorate at the University of Paderborn, she was a research museum assistant at the Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. In 2019, she developed the concept for the digital publication of the drawing estate of Erich Dieckmann at the Kunstbibliothek Berlin.
