Karoline Lemke has been a research associate in the directorate of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation since October 2020. She is developing the edition-philological concept for the pilot projects “Bauhaus Written Heritage” (2020–2022), which include the digital edition of texts by Ludwig Hilberseimer and the journal bauhaus. sprachrohr der studierenden. organ der kostufra (communist student magazine at the Bauhaus). The projects are funded by the Ministry of Economy, Science and Digitalisation of the State of Saxony-Anhalt.
Karoline Lemke studied German studies, art history and comparative literature at the universities of Leipzig and Zurich. She completed her studies in 2010 with a thesis on self-reflexivity and metaisation in Robert Walser’s prose. From 2016 to 2019, she was a research associate at the research centre Briefedition “Barlach 2020” and co-editor of the critical edition of Ernst Barlach’s letters.
