From 1929 to 1943, die neue linie (the new line) was published by Verlag Otto Beyer, Leipzig. The first outlay for the lifestyle magazine – drawings, illustrations, photographs, texts, and designs – originated in the historical Bauhaus workshops. More than 100 years later, a new line will be drawn in the Summer Workshop. How could the magazine look in today’s world? How might it reflect the contemporary idea of a modern human? How could it inspire us to dress in an environmentally friendly and fashion-conscious way? How would such a magazine be marketed today? The work in the Summer Workshop begins with these initial questions and points of departure. Professional designers will help the participants work on designs and advertising strategies.
The participation fee including lunch and materials is 30,- € .
Participation is only possible after binding registration via this online form and advance payment. The number of participants is limited and participation is possible from 10 to 16 years.
