The exhibition opening of the 2019 Bauhaus Lab exhibition Handle with Care: Unpacking a Bulky Table on 5 September 2019 is accompanied by an international symposium in which the participants of the programme together with scholars and curators will critically reflect upon the “making of the museum object”.
In three roundtables, the participants of the Bauhaus Lab will discuss the standards, formats and epistemologies that constitute collection objects with Albena Yaneva (University of Manchester), Johanna Agerman Ross (Victoria & Albert Museum London) Marcelo Rezende (Archiv der Avantgarden, Dresden), and Julia Schäfer (Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst, Leipzig).
