Bauhaus Museum Dessau chosen as “Museum of the Year 2020”

The German section of the International Association of Art Critics (AICA) has awarded the Bauhaus Museum Dessau the title Museum of the Year 2020. The jury’s statement said: “The current exhibition concept logically does not focus on the world-famous incunabula of art and design, but on teaching and learning activities, emphasising creative processes instead of the Bauhaus myth. The students’ works provide a view of the intellectual inner life of the university.” The title of the exhibition Versuchsstätte Bauhaus. The collection gets to the heart of this approach. Regina Bittner, Director ad interim of the Bauhaus Dessau Foundation: “We are very happy about this award!
